Yanowitz Law Firm is looking for a detail-oriented, big-hearted Legal Assistant / Paralegal to join our estate planning and probate team. We help individuals and families protect what matters most, and we want someone who brings precision and warmth to that work.

Responsibilities

• Draft estate planning documents, including wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and healthcare directives, under attorney guidance
• Draft and file probate documents with the court, tracking deadlines closely
• Enter and organize information for estate tax returns with careful accuracy
• Assist with signing appointments, helping clients feel calm and well cared for
• Keep client files and workflows organized and on track

Qualifications

• You have real emotional intelligence. You can read a room and respond with warmth and professionalism
• You have a sharp eye for detail and take genuine pride in getting things exactly right
• You're a positive, glass-half-full kind of teammate
• You love writing, or you love numbers. English majors and math majors are welcome
• You're organized and enjoy bringing order to complexity
• You're comfortable working in person, five days a week, as part of a close-knit team

No prior legal experience required. We're happy to train the right person. Character, curiosity, and care come first.

Pay

$24 to $27 per hour, based on experience, plus a quarterly bonus for meeting firm goals.
