Legal Assistant/Paralegal
Salary: $65K–$85K DOE
About the Role
Join a small, community-minded plaintiffs’ law firm as their newest Legal Assistant/Paralegal. In this role, you’ll work alongside a paralegal supporting two attorneys handling complex injury and civil rights cases on the plaintiffs’ side. You’ll manage cases from start to finish, including organizing discovery, docketing deadlines, preparing medical records summaries and chronologies, e-filing with Oregon courts, and drafting litigation documents. The attorneys will rely on you to coordinate with clients, opposing counsel, and court staff, and you’ll play an integral part in trial and hearing preparation.
This is a hybrid position with four in-office days each week.
Responsibilities
- Organize discovery and manage case files
- Docket deadlines and track case progress
- Prepare medical records summaries and chronologies
- E-file documents with Oregon courts
- Draft litigation documents
- Coordinate with clients, opposing counsel, and court staff
- Assist in trial and hearing preparation
Requirements
- 2–10+ years of litigation experience (plaintiffs’-side experience preferred)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat, and document management systems
- E-filing experience in Oregon courts
- Bilingual Spanish/English fluency is a plus
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail and writing skills
