Legal Assistant/Office Administrator
About the Role
Latitude is assisting a Seattle-based labor and employment law firm in identifying a Legal Assistant/Office Administrator to provide core legal and administrative support, with a strong emphasis on organization, document preparation, and client coordination. This role is integral to the day-to-day functioning of the firm, ensuring matters are handled efficiently, documents are prepared with precision, and client interactions are seamless and professional. The firm maintains a practical, client-focused labor and employment practice, representing labor organizations, workers, apprenticeship programs, and Taft-Hartley trust funds. As such, the ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to support multiple matters while maintaining a high level of accuracy and client service.
Responsibilities
- Prepare, format, proofread, and finalize legal documents, correspondence, pleadings, and other materials with a high degree of accuracy and confidentiality
- Provide document and administrative support across labor, employment, and related matters
- Assist with client and matter intake and maintain professional, responsive communications with clients, attorneys, and other stakeholders
- Coordinate document execution, filings, service, and follow-up as needed
- Provide litigation and case support, including organizing files, preparing exhibits, tracking deadlines, and assisting with court and agency filings
- Maintain calendars and track filing, hearing, arbitration, and other matter deadlines
- Assist attorneys with preparation for hearings, arbitrations, meetings, and other proceedings
- Support billing processes, including time entry, invoice coordination, and related administrative tasks
- Maintain organized electronic and physical matter files and provide general administrative and office support
Qualifications
- 3+ years of legal assistant or legal administrative experience
- Strong attention to detail, particularly in document preparation, formatting, proofreading, and deadline management
- Ability to manage multiple matters and priorities in a fast-paced legal environment
- Professional, responsive, and client-service-oriented demeanor
- Excellent organizational, communication, and time-management skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Outlook, and Excel
- Experience with legal practice management, document management, e-filing, or similar legal technology
- Labor and employment or litigation experience is a plus

Compensation
The base salary for this position ranges from $65,000-$85,000, depending on experience. The firm also offers comprehensive benefits package that includes medical, vision, dental, life, and disability insurance, 401(k), and stipend for commuting.
