Responsibilities

  • Aid in editing and proofreading correspondence, contracts, agreements, and other complex documents.
  • Prepare, submit, and maintain weekly time records.
  • Set up, maintain, and ensure that files are kept current, including classifying, arranging files, filing, and storing information.
  • E-file in state and federal courts, and any other applicable agencies.
  • Maintain e-mails and documents on Document Management System (DMS).
  • Act as a liaison for attorneys and all office service departments, including Accounting, Business Development, IT, and Docketing & Records.
  • Support attorneys by responding to requests with a sense of urgency and effectively prioritizing work.
  • Manage client contacts, emails, and print documents, as well as processing mail.
  • Communicate in a concise, professional manner.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of legal administrative support experience is preferred.
  • Familiarity with general processes, systems philosophies, structure, methods, and approaches of mid-to-large sized firms.
  • Effective communication skills, both oral and in writing.
  • Proficiency in using software systems such as Microsoft Office 365 (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Kofax), DMS/iManage Desksite, Aderant, LMS+, Workshare Compare.
  • Ability to organize, prioritize, and multi-task, while working effectively under pressure to meet deadlines.
  • Good rapport with attorneys, clients, and other staff.
  • Attention to detail in proofreading a variety of documents.
  • Creative thinking and independent work ability.
  • Exceptionally strong organizational skills and work ethic.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3+ years of legal administrative support experience.

Pay

The salary range for this position is $28.51/hr – $37.50/hr. Actual compensation offer to candidate may vary from posted information based on work experience, education, and/or skill level.
