About the role

A Legal Assistant II at LOGS provides exceptional support to financial institutions on a wide variety of creditor-rights matters. This remote, full-time, non-exempt (hourly) position operates on an 8:30 AM–5:00 PM Eastern schedule and requires taking direction from multiple internal and external parties. The role demands high-volume, high-accuracy work product that meets both quantity and quality expectations.

Responsibilities

  • Request Military and Pacer status through case-management-system tools.
  • Review searches to ensure successful requests; obtain and update any missing information on failed searches.
  • Manually upload search results as required.
  • Review search results for active bankruptcy findings or military status and escalate accordingly.
  • Run upload tool and review client systems for any Bankruptcy or SCRA steps that were not completed with the SCRA tool.
  • Check integration-failure reports for document or milestone failures; correct mappings or escalate for completion.
  • Map documents from the case-management system to client systems.
  • Update client and investor systems with current file status.
  • Ensure SCRA/PACER queries are set up according to each client’s requirements.

Requirements

  • High school diploma.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, technology-driven environment.
  • Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines while adjusting to changing priorities.
  • Ability to follow instructions, work autonomously, and know when to seek assistance.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Comfort working as part of a team in deadline-driven situations.
  • Ability to quickly gain new skills and knowledge when faced with new challenges.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 2010, Windows XP, and Windows 7 in a domain environment; intermediate/advanced familiarity with Word & Excel.
  • Familiarity with SQL programming and working knowledge of CMS & other LOGS technology is a plus.
