About the role
A Legal Assistant II at LOGS provides exceptional support to financial institutions on a wide variety of creditor-rights matters. This remote, full-time, non-exempt (hourly) position operates on an 8:30 AM–5:00 PM Eastern schedule and requires taking direction from multiple internal and external parties. The role demands high-volume, high-accuracy work product that meets both quantity and quality expectations.
Responsibilities
- Request Military and Pacer status through case-management-system tools.
- Review searches to ensure successful requests; obtain and update any missing information on failed searches.
- Manually upload search results as required.
- Review search results for active bankruptcy findings or military status and escalate accordingly.
- Run upload tool and review client systems for any Bankruptcy or SCRA steps that were not completed with the SCRA tool.
- Check integration-failure reports for document or milestone failures; correct mappings or escalate for completion.
- Map documents from the case-management system to client systems.
- Update client and investor systems with current file status.
- Ensure SCRA/PACER queries are set up according to each client’s requirements.
Requirements
- High school diploma.
- Experience working in a fast-paced, technology-driven environment.
- Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines while adjusting to changing priorities.
- Ability to follow instructions, work autonomously, and know when to seek assistance.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Comfort working as part of a team in deadline-driven situations.
- Ability to quickly gain new skills and knowledge when faced with new challenges.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office 2010, Windows XP, and Windows 7 in a domain environment; intermediate/advanced familiarity with Word & Excel.
- Familiarity with SQL programming and working knowledge of CMS & other LOGS technology is a plus.
