Legal Assistant/Case Manager

Responsibilities

  • Manage workers' compensation cases from intake through resolution
  • Draft pleadings, legal correspondence, settlement documents, and discovery
  • Track deadlines and ensure compliance with WCAB procedures
  • Review medical records, deposition transcripts, and subpoenas
  • Cook up coordination with clients, attorneys, medical providers, and insurance representatives
  • Maintain an organized case files and proactively move cases forward

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of California Workers' Compensation experience preferred
  • Applicant-side experience preferred
  • Bilingual Spanish required
  • Strong legal writing and communication skills
  • Ability to manage a high-volume caseload independently
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and self-motivated
