About the role
The Wyoming Office of the Attorney General seeks a legal assistant/paralegal to support the School Finance Litigation Division. Key responsibilities include assisting attorneys in litigation, case management, and supporting the Tort Litigation Division.
Responsibilities
- Legal research and background investigations
- Preparation of legal documents, including drafting, revising, and editing
- Filing legal documents with courts
- Case opening and closing, including client and witness interviews
- Assisting with case development and discovery
- Supporting attorneys at hearings, trials, and meetings
- Organizing and summarizing case materials
Requirements
- Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in paralegal studies, paralegal certificate, or equivalent work experience
- Knowledge of legal concepts, government processes, and Wyoming statutes
- Ability to analyze and organize legal material, edit documents, and manage multiple tasks
Qualifications
- Prior paralegal work experience preferred
- Experience with legal research and document preparation
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
Skills
- Excellent research and writing skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with attorneys and clients
- Attention to detail and accuracy

Pay
Salary is commensurate with relevant experience.
Schedule
