About the role
The Natrona County District Attorney's Office seeks a Legal Assistant to support the Felony and/or Misdemeanor Unit. This position plays a crucial role in assisting attorneys and managing legal documentation.
Responsibilities
- Aids attorneys in drafting complex pleadings and discovery.
- Serves as the primary point of contact between attorneys, courts, clients, and witnesses.
- Coordinates trial logistics and manages case timelines.
- Manages discovery documents, prepares deposition summaries, and coordinates document production.
- Verifies the accuracy of legal citations and maintains accurate records.
- Prepares legal research and correspondence for attorneys and clients.
Requirements
- Knowledge of legal concepts, administrative law, and court procedures.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Strong organizational and administrative skills.
- Proficiency in legal research and database management.
Qualifications
- Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Paralegal/Legal Studies.
- Experience in a legal support role, preferably with a focus on felony and misdemeanor cases.
- Knowledge of Wyoming statutes and agency policies.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
