About the role
This position provides advanced clerical and legal support to attorneys in the Office of Chief Counsel, ensuring accurate document preparation and strong case organization. The work supports efficient legal processes across multiple counties and involves handling sensitive and confidential information.
Responsibilities
- Case Coordination: Maintain calendars, organize email correspondence, and track important legal deadlines
- Document Preparation: Prepare and proofread legal filings, forms, subpoenas, and court documents for multiple courts
- Legal Research: Gather information, review evidence, and support attorneys in statutory appeals and case preparation
- Record Management: Create, update, and maintain case files, tracking systems, and closed records for legal matters
- Court Support: Assemble exhibits, prepare files for hearings, and communicate with court personnel and witnesses
- Office Operations: Handle mail, manage supplies, process payments, and assist with basic legal inquiries
Schedule
- Full-time employment
- Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 60-minute lunch
- Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, up to 2 days per week, after completion of training period. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in King of Prussia. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time.
Qualifications
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- One year as a Legal Assistant 1 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
- Four years of responsible clerical, investigative or enforcement work including one year of legal clerical support experience; or
- An equivalent combination of experience and training.
