Legal Analyst
About the role
The Legal Analyst will provide support to Senior Corporate Counsel in a fast-paced environment, requiring strong problem-solving, organization, and logical reasoning skills.
Responsibilities
- Assist with review and preparation of Master Services Agreements, Statements of Work, Amendments, NDAs, and other contractual and legal documents related to Customer Contact Services and vendor contracts for technology-related services.
- Identify vital terms and potential issues in draft Agreements and escalate solutions as appropriate.
- Track and participate in daily calls regarding intake requests submitted by other business teams.
- Assist with review of corporate policies and procedures.
- Monitor deadlines and status updates for managing various legal actions tracked by the Legal Department.
- Conduct legal research and analysis pertaining to matters handled by the Legal Department.
- Handle tasks supporting contract negotiations, document management, and legal analysis.
- Maintain various trackers using Excel and SharePoint.
- Manage and track corporate entity registrations, licenses, and annual reports.
Requirements
- Four-year degree or equivalent certification in a legal studies program.
- 7+ years of working experience as a Legal Analyst, Legal Department Contract Manager, and/or Corporate Paralegal.
- Experience assisting with review and preparation of Master Services Agreements, Statements of Work, Amendments, NDAs, and other contractual documents.
- Knowledge of commercial agreements and transactions.
- Advanced MS Office skills, especially Word, Excel, SharePoint, and Adobe PDF products.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and a patient, positive attitude.
- Resourcefulness and creativity in problem-solving.
- Advanced English writing and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to take direction and work independently with little or no supervision.
- Highly organized, punctual, patient, and detail-oriented.
Preferred Skills
- Tele-marketing, tele-sales, or customer service industry experience.
- IT or technology-related experience/background.
- Sound understanding of litigation and claims processes.
- Salesforce or other CRM experience.
- Experience supporting corporate operations in a highly regulated industry.
- Strong desire to grow legal knowledge and diversify skill set.
