Legal AI Adoption Counsel

Position Overview

We are seeking a Legal AI Adoption Counsel to drive the responsible and practical adoption of Generative AI technologies across legal practice groups. This role partners with attorneys, business leaders, IT, knowledge management, professional development, marketing, and innovation teams to identify AI opportunities, implement AI solutions, and enhance legal workflows through emerging technologies.

The ideal candidate will have a Juris Doctor (J.D.), hands-on experience with legal Generative AI tools, and a strong background in legal innovation, legal technology, knowledge management, or legal operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive the adoption of firm-approved Generative AI platforms across multiple legal practice groups
• Partner with attorneys, practice leaders, and business stakeholders to identify practical AI use cases that improve legal service delivery
• Develop and execute AI implementation strategies that increase user adoption and enhance legal workflows
• Support AI pilot programs, evaluate outcomes, and scale successful initiatives across the organization
• Design, develop, and deliver engaging virtual and in-person AI training programs for attorneys and legal professionals
• Coach attorneys and legal staff on integrating AI tools into their daily legal practice and business processes
• Develop practical learning materials including playbooks, best practice guides, FAQs, workflow documentation, checklists, and user guides
• Evaluate emerging legal AI technologies, platforms, and vendor solutions to support innovation initiatives
• Promote responsible, ethical, and secure use of Artificial Intelligence across the organization
• Monitor AI adoption metrics, user engagement, business impact, and feedback to drive continuous improvement
• Collaborate with IT, Professional Development, Research, Knowledge Management, Marketing, and Business Development teams on AI initiatives
• Provide guidance on AI governance, legal technology best practices, and responsible AI usage
• Support organizational change management initiatives related to AI adoption
• Stay current on emerging AI technologies, legal technology trends, and industry best practices

Required Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school
• Hands-on experience using legal Generative AI platforms and tools
• Experience in Legal Innovation, Legal Technology, Knowledge Management, Legal Operations, or Practice Management
• Strong understanding of Generative AI applications within legal environments
• Experience driving technology adoption and organizational change
• Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder engagement skills
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities
• Able to collaborate effectively with attorneys, executive leadership, and cross-functional teams
• Experience developing documentation, training materials, and user guidance
• Able to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience practicing law within a law firm or corporate legal department
• Experience designing and delivering training programs for legal professionals
• Knowledge of change management methodologies
• Strong project management experience
• Experience evaluating legal technology vendors and AI platforms
• Experience supporting enterprise AI implementation initiatives
• Knowledge of responsible AI governance and ethical AI practices
