Morgan, Lewis & Bockius LLP, one of the world’s leading global law firms with offices in strategic hubs of commerce, law, and government across North America, Asia, Europe, and the Middle East, is seeking a Legal Administrative Specialist (LAS) to support the Labor and Employment practice group in Downtown Los Angeles, CA. This is a hybrid role requiring 3 days in-office and remote work, with flexibility for overtime as needed.

About the role

Reporting to the Administrative Support Manager, this position provides a broad range of administrative, secretarial, and document processing support to assigned Practice Groups, emphasizing superior client service.

Responsibilities

  • Regularly utilize Task Delegation and Workflow Management software (BigHand) to receive, enter, and update assignments; communicate task status and seek guidance as needed.
  • Assist with word processing, editing, and proofreading correspondence, memorandums, reports, and other communications.
  • Answer phones, take messages, assist with time entry, schedule appointments, and coordinate meetings, including audio/video conferences and conference room reservations.
  • Maintain attorney calendars, update address books, and manage InterAction entries.
  • Perform redlining, prepare signature packets, compile exhibits, schedules, and executed signatures for final documents.
  • Process new business intake, expense reports, invoices, and check requests.
  • Arrange travel, prepare itineraries, and maintain attorney travel and desk profiles.
  • Coordinate printing, scanning, copying, and distribution of documents.
  • Provide legal research, case support, and project assistance.
  • Perform other administrative duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • At least seven (7) years of administrative support experience.
  • Previous law firm experience required.
  • Experience supporting Litigation and/or Labor and Employment practice, including State and Federal Court rules and filing procedures.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and PDF software.

Bachelor’s degree is a plus.

Pay

The salary range for this position in Los Angeles, CA is $86,825.00 - $113,131.00. The final base salary will be determined based on prior experience, relevant expertise, business needs, and market factors. The total compensation package may include medical, financial, and other benefits, such as 401(k) eligibility and paid time off (vacation, sick time, parental leave).

Schedule
