About the role
This Legal Administrative Assistant provides administrative support for the Client Legal Services Attorneys supporting the Connecticut office, based in Rocky Hill, CT. This is a hybrid role with an expectation to work onsite on a monthly basis.
Responsibilities
- Provide legal and administrative support to the Connecticut office and Client Legal Services Attorneys, with a focus on litigation and bodily injury matters
- Open and maintain new lawsuits, ensuring accurate setup and ongoing management within case management systems
- Cook and manage attorney calendars, including Connecticut court dates, deadlines, depositions, hearings, and case management orders
- Prepare, draft, file, and serve pleadings and legal documents in both paper and electronic formats, including e-filing through the Connecticut Judicial Branch e-filing system
- Process and manage high volumes of electronic correspondence related to pleadings, filings, court communications, and case activity
- Serve as a primary point of contact for courts, opposing counsel, vendors, and internal stakeholders, maintaining professional and timely communication
- Manage document organization, indexing, version control, and maintenance of case files to ensure accuracy and compliance
- Draft routine correspondence and documents for attorney review and approval
- Monitor deadlines, procedural rules, and court requirements to ensure timely and compliant filings
- Demonstrate initiative by anticipating case and attorney needs, taking ownership of assigned work, and collaborating effectively with team members
Qualifications
- Strong typing speed with a high level of accuracy
- Excellent organizational, prioritization, and follow-up skills with the ability to manage strict deadlines
- Experience supporting multiple attorneys simultaneously in a litigation-focused environment
- Experience with heavy scheduling, calendar management, and coordination of court-related activities
- Insurance defense, bodily injury, or legal administrative experience preferred
- Familiarity with Connecticut litigation practices and the Connecticut Judicial Branch e-filing system is strongly preferred

Pay
Compensation offered for this role is 19.76 - 30.33 per hour and is based on experience and qualifications.
Schedule
This role is hybrid, based out of the Rocky Hill, Connecticut office. Monthly in-office attendance is required. Candidates must reside within a commutable distance of Rocky Hill, CT.
