About the role
We are seeking a Legal Administrative Assistant who will report to the Senior Corporate Counsel. AFC’s Legal Team prides itself on replicating that level of support for a wide variety of internal clients. AFC’s Legal Department has a great opportunity for a sharp, motivated, fast-learning administrative professional.
Responsibilities
- Prepare legal documents and correspondence
- Assemble and file court documents electronically
- Maintain client files and contact information
- Process collection payments on accounts
- Analyze and report on loan documentation to assemble placement packets to send to law firms and advise on deficiencies for loan documentation
- Gather all relevant documents and assemble document requests
- Formulate dashboards and reports internally for legal reporting
- Aggregate information from a variety of electronic sources for filing lawsuits
- Perform other duties, as assigned
Requirements
- Associate’s degree with a paralegal certificate and three (3) years of experience or Bachelor’s degree with one (1) year experience
- Superior commitment to client service
- Being an impactful and cooperative team player that works just as well independently
- Effective planning, prioritization, and organizational skills
- Excellent administrative, document preparation and proofreading skills
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment while taking direction from multiple individuals
- Positive and professional demeanor
Qualifications
- One (1) to three (3) years of experience
Skills
- Knack for problem solving and using sound judgment to solve complex issues
- Previous auto industry experience
- Experience with Google products
- Sound judgment in handling complex issues
