Legacy Academy - Enrichment Teacher

About the role

This position plans and implements a program following approved curriculum standards and objectives. Responsibilities include using effective teaching techniques, materials, and educational experiences to support instruction within curriculum guidelines. Enrichment events and activities are provided related to the curriculum. Assignments and objectives are communicated to students clearly and precisely.

Responsibilities

• Makes regular assessments of student progress to provide feedback to students, parents, and administration.
• Diagnoses, instructs, and evaluates specific student needs, and seeks assistance if necessary.
• Maintains a fair and just standard for student behavior to ensure an effective and safe learning environment.
• Maintains accurate, complete, and legible records as required by law and school policy.
• Communicates concerns and ideas with colleagues, students, parents, and the community professionally and in a Christian manner.
• Participates in school activities and maintains professional competence.
• Maintains dependability and consistency in attendance.
• Fulfills all policies and procedures outlined in the Legacy Church Employee Handbook.
• Responds to all calls, emails, and texts within 24 hours.
• Reports to the principal.

Requirements

• A High School Diploma.
• Ability to meet state and federal requirements, including a background check and fingerprinting.
• Current CPR/Basic First Aid card or the ability to obtain one within 30 days of hire.
• Prior Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science degree in any field is preferred.
