About the role

The Department of Biological Sciences at Clemson University invites applications for a 9-month, renewable, non-tenure-track teaching position at the Lecturer or Senior Lecturer level focusing on Neuroscience.

Responsibilities

• Teach core and elective neuroscience courses, with flexibility to align departmental needs with their expertise.
• Design and deliver effective course content.
• Absorb and provide constructive feedback to students.
• Utilize the Canvas Learning Management System.
• Hold regular student hours to support student success.
• Collaborate with colleagues to continuously improve the undergraduate experience.

Qualifications

• A Ph.D. in Neuroscience or a closely related field is preferred at the time of appointment; candidates with a Masters degree in Neuroscience or a closely related field and significant classroom teaching experience will also be considered.
• The ideal candidates will demonstrate: Excellence in teaching university-level courses, Strong science communication skills, Scientific education outreach, A commitment to inclusive teaching practices.
