Position Details
The Department of Mathematical Sciences at Indiana University Indianapolis invites applications for a full-time, 10-month, non-tenure eligible position as a Lecturer, Senior Lecturer, or Teaching Professor. This position begins August 1, 2026.
Position Summary
This is a non-tenure track position offering a competitive salary, commensurate with qualifications and experience, excellent fringe benefits, and a path for promotion. Responsibilities include teaching 12 credits (3 or 4 sections) each semester, typically in intermediate and college algebra, and service to the Department as it relates to student success and retention. The Department serves more than 12,000 students annually and offers various degrees in mathematical sciences.
Basic Qualifications
- Masters’ degree in mathematics, or a closely related field
- Record of high-quality teaching in introductory mathematics courses, with high success rates in student learning
- Ability and interest to work with a broad student population
