Lecturer Pool - Chemistry and Biochemistry AY 2026/27
California State University San Marcos invites applications on an ongoing basis for part-time lecturer positions in the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry. Appointments may range from one day to a full semester and are used to fill short-term, temporary vacancies as needed throughout the 2026/27 academic year. This applicant pool is valid only for the current academic year and will close on May 31st.
About the Role
Lecturer positions are in-person and scheduled as needed, with day and time varying by course assignment. These roles support the academic mission of the College of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in chemistry or a closely related field (required).
- Terminal degree in chemistry or a closely related field (preferred).
- Demonstrated intercultural competence and commitment to serving our diverse campus community through teaching and service (preferred).
Per the California State University’s Out-of-State Employment Policy, employment is contingent upon working in the State of California.
Pay
Monthly salary ranges for the Lecturer – Academic Year classification:
- Lecturer A: $5,507 – $6,677 per full-time month
- Lecturer B: $6,221 – $13,224 per full-time month
The anticipated hiring range is $5,507 – $6,008 per full-time month, commensurate with education and experience.
