About the role

The Hank Greenspun School of Journalism and Media Studies invites applications for a lecturer/senior lecturer in Sports Journalism, with an emphasis on broadcasting and multimedia production. We’re looking for a veteran sports journalist who can teach and mentor the next generation of multi-platform sports media professionals. The ideal candidate should have extensive experience reporting, announcing, anchoring and producing sports programming, both in the studio and on site at sporting events.

Responsibilities

  • Teach and mentor students in sports journalism, focusing on broadcasting and multimedia production.
  • Develop and deliver curriculum that reflects current trends and innovations in sports media.
  • Work closely with the Rebel Report and Rebel Sports Net teams to provide guidance and feedback.
  • Collaborate with other faculty members and media operations to enhance the educational experience.

Requirements

  • A Master’s degree from an accredited college or university as recognized by the United States Department of Education and/or the Council on Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA).
  • 3-5 years of experience reporting, announcing, anchoring, and producing sports programs.
  • Experience teaching/mentoring students and building relationships with college and professional sports teams.
  • Credentials must be obtained prior to the start date of the semester.
