About the role
The Department of Sociology and Anthropology at North Carolina State University invites applications for Lecturer positions to support instruction across Summer 2026, Fall 2026, and Spring 2027. Multiple hires may be made from this posting, with most roles structured as part-time, in-person teaching.
Responsibilities
- Teach undergraduate courses in sociology and/or criminology
- Coordinate and plan course delivery aligned with departmental expectations
- Develop and prepare course syllabi and instructional materials
- Deliver engaging classroom instruction in an in-person setting
- Audit and assess student learning and provide timely, constructive feedback
- Manage course-related activities, including grading and student communication
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in sociology or related field
- Demonstrated evidence of teaching excellence
- Strong commitment to excellence in teaching
- Excellent communication skills
