Lecturer - Nutrition & Dietetics (Education Focused)

The Lecturer - Nutrition & Dietetics will make a significant contribution to the development and delivery of education in the Nutrition, Dietetics and Food Innovation program with a focus on the clinical stream. Working across the clinical stream, work-integrated learning content and placement program, you will contribute to innovative teaching, curriculum development and student success.

You will collaborate with colleagues across the discipline, bring current clinical and industry knowledge into the classroom, and contribute to a dynamic learning environment that prepares graduates for professional practice.
Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver education in the Nutrition, Dietetics and Food Innovation program with a focus on the clinical stream
- Contribute to innovative teaching, curriculum development and student success across the clinical stream, work-integrated learning content and placement program
- Collaborate with colleagues across the discipline to enhance educational outcomes
- Bring current clinical and industry knowledge into the classroom
Requirements
- Accredited Practicing Dietitian (APD) or eligibility and willingness to seek accreditation as an APD
- PhD in Nutrition and Dietetics or other related health / medical disciplines preferred, although significant and relevant experience will be considered in lieu of PhD
- Demonstrated experience with industry and work-integrated learning and clinical education
- Demonstrated clinical experience
- Actively stays up to date with discipline knowledge and professional development
- Experience in teaching and learning design, development and delivery at undergraduate and/or postgraduate level
- Experience using and/or designing with educational technologies and online delivery methods
- Evidence of teaching effectiveness and passion for educational excellence
- Demonstrated knowledge of industry or experience of work-integrated learning
- Evidence of highly developed interpersonal and organisational skills
- Evidence of ability to support and inspire students from diverse backgrounds and support student equity, diversity and inclusion initiatives

Pay
Level B from $133k plus clinical loading, 17% superannuation contribution and annual leave loading (pro rata)
