About the role
The Department of Mathematics in the College of Letters and Sciences at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater seeks a one-year full-time Academic Staff Lecturer in Mathematics, starting Fall 2026 for the 2026-27 academic year.
Responsibilities
- Full-time teaching responsibility consists of teaching twenty-seven credits of undergraduate mathematics courses per year.
- Serves as an initial point of contact for students as it relates to specific course or series content and expectations.
Requirements
- Master’s Degree in Mathematics or in a related field.
- 18 graduate credit hours in mathematics.
Qualifications
- Strong commitment to teaching.
- Preference will be given to those who present evidence of successful classroom teaching experiences in mathematics.
- Commitment to creating inclusive learning environments centered around active and innovative pedagogy, particularly in general education mathematics courses.
Skills and Abilities
- Ability to interact respectfully with people with diverse socioeconomic, cultural and ethnic backgrounds.
- Willingness and ability to be an active participant in following applicable safety rules and regulations including necessary training and drills.
Pay
Well-qualified candidates can expect a minimum starting 9-month salary of $50,000 commensurate with the candidate's education, related experience, and qualifications.
Schedule
This will be a 9-month fixed-term appointment.
