Lecturer in PGCE Secondary Science
About the role
An exciting opportunity for a subject specialist in Science to join the University of Worcester’s Institute of Education as a Lecturer on a fixed-term basis to cover maternity leave. The successful applicant will contribute to teaching on the PGCE Science Programme and conduct visits to trainees in their placement settings.
Selection process
Shortlisted candidates will be invited to a formal panel interview and asked to deliver a 20-minute teaching session on the following brief:
Teaching Session: ‘Promoting inclusion through science’
The session should be aimed at Secondary PGCE science trainees at the beginning of the course and must be underpinned by research. The audience will be a small group of Institute of Education staff, but candidates should treat them as trainee teachers. Feedback on the teaching session will be provided to the interview panel.

- Salary range of £23,270.40 – £26,089.20 per annum for 22.2 hours (£38,784–£43,482 FTE)
