About the role

The Department of Education at Santa Clara University seeks to hire one or more Lecturers for the 2025-26 academic school year. The position is benefits eligible and begins on September 1, 2026.

Responsibilities

  • Teaching (95%): Teaching assignments will include some combination of the courses listed below, totaling 5-7 course sections across the yearlong appointment. Courses will be assigned based on experience and expertise.

  • Co-lead on the Warmenhoven Inclusive Leadership Institute (2 CE): Supporting regional leaders in developing inclusive schools.

  • Lead on PASC program development (2 CE): Reviewing opportunities for an online or predominantly online version of the program.

Requirements

  • Earned a Master’s degree or higher in education, or related field from an accredited university.

  • Experience as a TK-12 public school administrator.

  • Strong commitments to public education.

  • Experience as an instructor at the university level.

  • Experience in educational leadership, mentoring, or supervision of early career educators.

Qualifications

  • Qualified to teach courses focused on various aspects of educational leadership as well as courses specifically focused on preparing K-12 educators pursuing administrative credentials.

  • Able to adapt the 364, 367, and 370 course sequence to be relevant to students not pursuing administrative credentials.

Skills

  • Ability to teach a variety of courses in educational leadership.

  • Experience in educational leadership, mentoring, or supervision of early career educators.

Benefits

This position is benefits eligible.

Pay

The salary range for 5-7 courses is $55,350-82,320 depending on the number of courses assigned and candidate’s college-level teaching experience.

Schedule

The position is for one year and will begin on September 1, 2026.
