About the role

The Department of Communication and Media at the University of Southern Indiana invites applicants for lecturers to teach CMST 101: Introduction to Public Speaking and CMST 107: Introduction to Interpersonal Communication.

Responsibilities

  • Teach CMST 101: Introduction to Public Speaking
  • Teach CMST 107: Introduction to Interpersonal Communication

Requirements

  • Part-time public speaking lecturers: Minimum of a master’s degree in communication, or 18 graduate credit hours of communication coursework.
  • Part-time faculty in media production: Master’s degree in communication, mass communication, or journalism, or 18 graduate credit hours of communication coursework, or 5+ years of professional experience related to the specific area of teaching.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in communication, or 18 graduate credit hours of communication coursework.
  • Master’s degree in a different academic area and 18 graduate credit hours of communication coursework, or 5+ years of professional experience related to the specific area of teaching.

Skills

  • Ability to teach public speaking and interpersonal communication courses.
  • Experience in media production (optional).

Pay

Salary range: Per lecturer.

Schedule

Part-time schedule.
