Lecturer, Department of Counseling

About the Role
This part-time position requires teaching a minimum of one course each term (spring, summer, and fall). Courses are offered in a variety of instructional modalities, including in-person, online, and hybrid formats.
Responsibilities
- Teach evening undergraduate or graduate courses in Counseling.
- Maintain the security and integrity of UT San Antonio and its infrastructure.
Requirements
Undergraduate Classes
- Master’s degree in Counseling (PhD is not required).
- Availability to teach evening undergraduate courses.
Graduate Classes
- Doctorate in Counselor Education and Supervision from a CACREP-accredited program.
- Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) or LPC-Supervisor (LPC-S).
- Availability to teach evening graduate courses.
Preferred Qualifications
- Texas School Counseling Certification.
- Two or more years of post-counseling degree clinical experience or graduate-level Counseling course teaching experience.
- Texas LPC or LPC-S.
Additional Information
- This position will work primarily on the UT San Antonio Downtown campus.
- Travel and parking expenses are the employee’s responsibility.
- This position is contingent upon a successful background check.
- Verification of a valid driver’s license and Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) may be required.
- Applicants must show proof of eligibility to work in the United States by the time of hire.
Pay
Up to $3,500 per course.
