About the role

The Rady School of Management at UC San Diego seeks temporary non-senate faculty (Unit 18 Lecturers) to support and enhance its teaching mission in the research areas of Marketing, Economics and Strategy, Management, and Innovation, Technology, and Operations. Appointments may be part- or full-time, for 1–3 classes per quarter and 1–3 quarters in duration during the 2026–27 academic year. Classes may be in-person, online, or hybrid, and appointees must be flexible with scheduling to accommodate classroom availability during standard business hours.

Courses

Lecturers may be assigned to teach one or more of the following undergraduate and graduate courses:

• Undergraduate:
  • MGT 100 – Customer Analytics
  • MGT 106 – Sales & Sales Marketing
  • MGT 112 – Global Business Strategy
  • MGT 118 – Fundamentals of Global Business
  • MGT 168 – Managerial Decision Making
• Graduate:
  • MGT 440 – Supply Chain Cost Management Strategy

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver high-quality instruction in assigned courses.
• Comply with School and University instructions, deadlines, and policies regarding course scheduling.
• Contribute to the academic excellence and diversity of the Rady School of Management.

Qualifications

• Basic qualifications (required at time of application):
  • Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Management, Marketing, Information Systems, Business Analytics, Data Science, Statistics, or a related field.
  • At least one year of teaching experience or specialized field expertise in a business discipline.
• Preferred qualifications:
  • Graduate degree in Economics, Management, Marketing, Information Systems, Business Analytics, Data Science, Statistics, or a related field.
  • Five or more years of practical business experience.
  • Three or more years of teaching experience.

Pay

The salary range for this position is $110,581–$188,256, determined by the UC academic salary scales for rank and/or step at appointment. Refer to the 2025–26 represented salary scales (T15) for details.
