Position Summary
The Penn State School of Music invites applications for a full-time, non-tenure line, renewable Lecturer of Music beginning Fall 2026. We seek an inspiring colleague who is committed to creative and inclusive approaches to music performing, teaching, and learning.
Required Qualifications
- Master of Music in Theory, Education, Performance (or closely related field)
- Demonstrated effectiveness as a performer and teacher in multiple, diverse musical styles
- Ability to make a substantial pedagogical contribution to the School of Music in terms of shaping and integrating new curriculum into existing areas of strength
- Ability to work effectively with learners from varied backgrounds and to collaborate within a diverse academic and artistic community
- Engagement with community, professional, or outreach activities
- Experience teaching diverse student populations in inclusive learning environments
- Colegiate teaching experience
