DESCRIPTION OF JOB
The Department of Biological Sciences at Edgewood University invites applications for a full-time lecturer to teach anatomy and physiology and related courses for the 2026 -27 academic year.
Course Descriptions
- Anatomy and Physiology 1 (Bio210): covers the study of structure and function of the cells, tissues, skin, skeletal, muscular, and nervous systems of the human body.
- Anatomy and Physiology 2 (Bio211): covers the study of structure and function of the endocrine, digestive, respiratory, cardiovascular, lymphatic, urinary, and reproductive systems of the human body.
Responsibilities
- Instructors would be responsible for planning, implementing, and grading formative and summative assessments in lecture and lab.
- They will also be expected to work with other instructors to ensure alignment between different sections of a course.
- All courses are managed through an online LMS (Canvas) and instructors are expected to maintain an updated course site throughout the semester.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
- Necessary Education or Work Experience:
- Candidates must have a master’s degree or ABD in biology or a closely related field; a PhD is preferred.
- Experience teaching Anatomy and Physiology is highly preferred.
