Leave of Absence (LOA) Coordinator

What You Will Be Doing

  • Administer and coordinate employee leave programs, including FMLA, parental leave, medical leave, personal leave, military leave, and other company-sponsored leave programs.
  • Manage the leave process from intake through return-to-work, including employee communications, documentation, tracking, and case management.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for employees, managers, and HR partners regarding leave eligibility, processes, and status updates.
  • Cook up with third-party leave administrators and state-sponsored disability and paid leave programs to ensure timely and accurate claim processing.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, and local leave laws and company policies.
  • Maintain accurate leave records and reporting within HR systems.
  • Aid with ADA accommodation-related leave administration and return-to-work coordination.
  • Support benefits administration activities, including employee inquiries, life event changes, and benefit continuation during leaves of absence.
  • Aid with open enrollment, benefits communications, and vendor coordination as needed.
  • Support the Benefits and Total Rewards teams with general support and inquiries.

What We Are Looking For

  • 2-4 years in Benefits, with direct experience in processing leaves of absence.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent required.
  • A bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred.
  • Exceptional customer service skills and attention to detail required.
  • A high level of ethics and integrity required.
  • Excellent customer service skills required.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills required.
  • The ability to be approachable and welcoming to questions from business support administration, HR field team and employees at all levels of the company.
  • Strong time management skills.
  • Bi-lingual in English/Spanish is highly preferred.
  • The ability to work in a fast-paced team environment.
  • The ability to maintain confidentiality with employee personal information.
  • Intermediate level skill in computer processing and data entry.
