Leave Management Administrator - Remote (PST)

Responsibilities
- Handle the day-to-day LOA administration for clients by supporting both the Account Manager and/or LOA Analyst on the specific needs related to that account.
- Provide timely reports and feedback regarding the status of leaves for clients and/or Account Managers.
- Manage incoming emails for the team shared inbox, prioritizing, responding, and sorting accordingly.
- Courteously answer inbound team phone calls, providing a high level of customer service with accurate and helpful information.
- Provide excellent service and timely responses for all potential leave inquiries, offering specific guidance on processes, job protection, and wage replacement options during absences.
- Process applicable disability claims forms efficiently with related disability carriers and provide necessary updates to impacted individuals.
- Support all LOA administration cases, ensuring compliance with Federal, State, and local regulations related to leaves, including FMLA, CFRA, PDL, PFL, USERRA, ADA/ADAAA, and company-specific leave policies.
- Assist with the onboarding process of new clients by attending implementation meetings, reviewing company policies, and gathering necessary information to properly set up the new client.
- Work with the LOA Analyst to configure systems based on client’s programs and policies, including reviewing and inputting historical data when applicable.
- Participate in and support team-specific projects related to leave administration and compliance.
- Work closely with all LOA team members to provide assistance with leave policies, processes, and specific employee scenarios requiring additional attention.
- Assist with the interactive process and proper documentation related to ADA accommodations.
- Prepare and review necessary LOA reports for clients as requested or scheduled.
- Attend educational webinars and workshops to stay up to date on changes in leave of absence administration.
Requirements
- 1-3 years of experience with Human Resources, benefits, and/or leave of absence administration with a middle-to-large sized employer.
- Proven experience working in a fast-paced, professional environment with numerous deadlines and competing priorities.
- Strong technology experience in systems such as benefit administration, payroll, or HRIS reporting.
- Knowledge of Federal, State, and local regulations related to employer compliance and specifically the legal aspects of leave of absence administration.
- Excellent proficiency with Microsoft Office Products, with a focus on Excel reporting functionalities.
- Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality, flexibility, and effectively prioritize and multi-task.
- Strong communication skills (oral and written) with a desire to build long-lasting relationships.
- Innovative, adaptable team player able to adjust focus and attend quickly to changes in team and client priorities.
- Sound judgment consistent with standards, practices, policies, procedures, regulations, and government law.
- Detail-oriented with strong research and analytical skills, and an interest in continued growth and learning.
- Ability to develop rapport and work with a variety of personalities at all levels throughout the firm.
- Reliable and works well independently to efficiently and effectively complete all assigned responsibilities.
Skills
- Ability to speak and write in Spanish (a plus).
Pay
The typical base pay range for this role is $20 - $30 an hour. Your base pay is dependent upon your skills, education, qualifications, professional experience, and location. In addition to base pay, some roles are eligible for variable compensation, commission, and/or annual bonus based on individual and company performance.
