About the role

Responsibilities

• Growing the leasing pipeline through relationship building, cold outreach, and community engagement with universities, departments, and local partners.
• Property ambassador to prospect tenants, understanding resident preferences, wants, and needs, and effectively communicating the benefits of Domain properties through property tours.
• Taking the time to personally follow-up with prospects and build strong personal relationships.
• Possessing a relentless drive to build a pipeline and executing a marketing and social media strategy in partnership with the corporate marketing team and property leadership.
• Conducting regular market surveys and tracking the effectiveness of current strategies, sharing insights and ideas with leadership and corporate partners.
• Creating a memorable and seamless move-in and move-out process for residents in collaboration with the property team.
• Preparing, tracking, and maintaining all necessary files in compliance with company, state, landlord/tenant laws, including state and federal fair housing laws.
• Maintaining an organized filing system and office areas, ensuring resident profiles and ledgers are up-to-date in Yardi (our property management operating system).
• Ensuring the property remains in impeccable condition by conducting annual unit inspections and coordinating maintenance requests.
• Following up with residents to ensure their satisfaction and providing firsthand knowledge of the local area and community.
• Aiding in planning, coordinating, and promoting resident social events.
• Proactively solving problems and taking on additional initiatives as they arise.
• Seeking opportunities to lead and contribute to the company's larger objectives.

Qualifications

• High school or GED required.
• Minimum of 2 years of market rate rental leasing experience preferred.
• Previous sales experience also preferred.
• Yardi and/or Pay Scan experience preferred.
• Customer-centric with a warm demeanor, positive attitude, and impeccable follow-through.
• Ability to work independently and with a team, plan and prioritize efficiently, and motivate/lead team members.
• Experience working in a fast-paced environment and completing tasks with simultaneous deadlines and interruptions.
• Strong written and verbal communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to confidently cold call and visit potential prospects.
• Knowledge of the city and local transportation options, including public and private transportation.
• Technically savvy with technology, including smart phones and computers.
• Computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office.

Skills
