Compensation

Compensation is $27.00 an hour plus monthly bonus.

Responsibilities

• Conduct property tours and present available units to prospective tenants, highlighting key features and benefits.
• Process rental applications, perform background and credit checks, and verify applicant information in compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
• Prepare and execute lease agreements, ensuring all documentation is accurate and complete.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of market trends, rental rates, and competitor offerings to effectively position properties.
• Respond promptly to inquiries via phone, email, and in-person visits, providing exceptional customer service throughout the leasing process.
• Collaborate with maintenance and property management teams to facilitate move-ins and resolve tenant concerns.
• Track leasing activity and maintain accurate records in property management software and databases.
• Participate in marketing initiatives, including online listings, open houses, and community events to attract potential renters.

Requirements

• A high school diploma or equivalent required; an associate or bachelor’s degree in business, real estate, or related field preferred.
• At least 1-2 years of experience in leasing, property management, or a customer service role within the real estate industry.
• A strong knowledge of leasing laws, fair housing regulations, and rental market dynamics in New Jersey.
• Proficiency with property management software and Microsoft Office suite.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a customer-focused approach.

Preferred Qualifications

• A real estate license (up to 12 months to secure after date of hire).
• Experience working with diverse tenant populations and multi-family residential properties.
• Familiarity with digital marketing tools and social media platforms for property promotion.
• Demonstrated ability to meet or exceed leasing targets in a fast-paced environment.
• Bilingual abilities or additional language skills relevant to the local community.
