About the role

The Leasing Specialist coordinates all requests from military families with the property management team. This position also assists in the daily leasing functions of the PPV housing office, including leasing homes, qualifying applicants, executing leases, maintaining resident files, and monitoring government compliance.

Responsibilities

  • Captures all requests from military families and coordinates with the property management team.
  • Executes leasing functions, including showing vacant units, timely execution of leases and renewals, and qualification of applicants.
  • Coordinates move-in and move-out processes, including move-in inspections, move-out inspections, and damage billing.
  • Ensures proper maintenance of resident and maintenance file jackets.
  • Performs market analysis and develops advertising strategies.
  • Organizes and schedules social events and educational classes.
  • Prepares properties for showing and conducts showings.
  • Completes leases by reviewing contract requirements, negotiating terms, obtaining signatures, deposits, and payments.
  • Collaborates in advertising efforts across various venues, including social media.
  • Drives for the company using either a company vehicle or personal vehicle to conduct business.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Property Management, or related field preferred.
  • Previous leasing experience required.
  • Experience with computers and office software such as email, word processing, excel, and internet browsers.
  • Previous sales experience preferred.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Ability to show houses in all types of weather conditions.
  • Demonstrated ability to exercise good judgment and discretion in handling confidential information.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities with tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Professionalism, work ethic, and a sense of responsibility and integrity.
  • Ability to resolve problems independently and take initiative to identify and anticipate client needs.
  • Reliable, self-motivated team player with attention to detail.
  • Basic understanding of safety practices.

Final salaries will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, licenses, certifications, and/or experience. In addition to these factors, we consider pay equity.

Schedule

The schedule for this position may require driving for the company using either a company vehicle or personal vehicle to conduct business, depending on the frequency and nature of the travel required.
