Leasing Specialist
About the role
The Leasing Specialist coordinates all requests from military families with the property management team. They assist in daily leasing functions, including leasing homes, qualifying applicants, managing the leasing waitlist, executing leases, maintaining resident files, monitoring government compliance, implementing social programs, and supporting resident groups.
Responsibilities
- Captures and organizes an accurate, fair, and compliant leasing waitlist to ensure efficient unit turnover, strong applicant communication, and consistent leasing operations.
- Executes leasing functions, including showing vacant units, timely execution of leases and renewals, and qualification of applicants in accordance with government compliance requirements.
- Coordinates move-in dates and pre-move-in inspections with incoming military families, and manages move-out processes, including assessments of damages and final utility bills.
- Manages service requests and disbursement to appropriate maintenance directors/managers, ensures resident and maintenance digital files are maintained, performs routine market analysis, and assists in implementing social programs and supportive services.
- Assists the Community Director and Community Manager in ensuring compliance with property legal documents and community policies, and organizes and schedules social events, educational classes, physical activities, and family functions.
- Prepares and recommends advertising and marketing strategies, markets the property through various channels, inspects and shows properties, completes leases, and places advertisements.
- Drives for the company using either a company vehicle or personal vehicle, depending on the frequency and nature of the work.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Property Management, or related field preferred
- Previous leasing experience required
- Experience with computers and office software such as email, word processing, excel, and internet browsers
- Previous sales experience preferred
- Strong customer service skills
- Ability to show houses in all types of weather conditions
- Good judgment and discretion in handling confidential information
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to handle multiple priorities with tight deadlines
- Professionalism, responsibility, and integrity required
- Discretion and ability to maintain a professional attitude and appearance
- Initiative to identify and anticipate client needs
- Basic understanding of safety practices
- Valid driver's license required

A competitive salary is offered, with a hiring range of $26.67 - $29.27 per hour, exclusive of fringe benefits or potential bonuses. Pay
The hiring range for this position is generally between $26.67 - $29.27, exclusive of fringe benefits or potential bonuses. Final salaries will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, licenses, certifications, and experience.
