Leasing Specialist
About the role
The Leasing Specialist coordinates all requests from military families with the property management team. They assist in daily leasing functions including showing units, qualifying applicants, executing leases, maintaining resident files, and monitoring government compliance.
Responsibilities
- Captures and discharges service requests and disburses them to the appropriate maintenance directors/assistants.
- Maintains resident and maintenance file jackets.
- Performs routine market analysis reports.
- Affirms compliance with Hunt Military Communities policies and government regulations.
- Organizes and schedules social events, educational classes, physical activities, and family functions.
- Develops and implements marketing strategies to attract tenants.
- Prepares properties for showing, sets appointments, and provides leasing information.
- Completes leases by reviewing contracts, negotiating terms, obtaining signatures, deposits, and payments.
- Places advertisements in various venues including social media.
- Drives for the company using either a company vehicle or personal vehicle to conduct business.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Property Management, or related field preferred
- Previous leasing experience required
- Previous experience with computers and office software such as email, word processing, excel, and internet browsers
- Strong customer service skills
- Ability to show houses in all types of weather conditions
- Demonstrated ability to exercise good judgment and discretion in handling confidential information
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to handle multiple priorities with tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Professionalism, responsibility, and integrity required
- Discretion and ability to maintain a professional attitude and appearance
- Initiative to identify and anticipate client needs

Pay
The hiring range for this position is generally between $23.60 - $28.21, exclusive of fringe benefits or potential bonuses. Final salaries will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, licenses, certifications, and/or experience. In addition to these factors, we believe in the importance of pay equity. Final salaries may vary based on individual qualifications and performance.
Schedule
The position requires driving for the company using either a company vehicle or personal vehicle to conduct business. The frequency of driving may vary from rarely to constantly.
