About the role
The Leasing Specialist coordinates all requests from military families with the property management team. This position assists in daily leasing functions, including leasing homes, qualifying applicants, managing the leasing waitlist, and ensuring compliance with government requirements.
Responsibilities
- Covers all requests from military families with the property management team.
- Maintains and organizes an accurate, fair, and compliant leasing waitlist.
- Executes leases and renewals, qualifies applicants, and coordinates move-in and move-out processes.
- Coordinates move-in and move-out inspections, assesses damages, and delivers final utility bills.
- Manages service requests, discharges them to appropriate maintenance staff, and maintains resident and maintenance digital files.
- Performs market analysis, develops property concepts, and markets the property through various channels.
- Shows properties, sets appointments, provides leasing information, and completes lease agreements.
- Uses technology platforms daily to manage tasks and communicate with clients.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Property Management, or related field preferred.
- Previous leasing experience required.
- Experience with computers and office software.
- Previous sales experience preferred.
- Strong customer service skills.
- Ability to show houses in all weather conditions.
- Good judgment and discretion in handling confidential information.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to handle multiple priorities with tight deadlines.
- Professionalism, responsibility, and integrity.
- Discretion and ability to maintain a professional attitude and appearance.
- Initiative to identify and address client needs.
- Basic understanding of safety practices.
