About the role

We are seeking a Sales Strategist to manage sales responsibilities during times of transition or vacancies in our Active Adult 55+ communities. The role involves supporting communities in need of sales coverage, preparing the sales office for a new team member, and assisting in onboarding and training the incoming Sales Specialist.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the interim sales leader at communities experiencing sales team vacancies, ensuring continuity in leasing, marketing, and outreach efforts.
  • Organize and optimize the sales office for efficiency and readiness before a new Sales Specialist is hired.
  • Onboard and train new Sales Specialists for 1-2 weeks, ensuring they are equipped with the knowledge and tools to succeed.
  • Collaborate with the Regional Sales Manager and Regional Manager to tailor sales strategies and goals based on each community's unique needs.
  • Lead all marketing, leasing, and sales strategies to achieve occupancy and revenue goals by providing an exceptional prospect experience.
  • Conduct outreach marketing efforts, including networking, attending events, and generating new leads.
  • Manage social media accounts to promote the community lifestyle and increase engagement.
  • Ensure timely and strategic follow-up with all prospects using the CRM system to nurture leads and increase conversions.
  • Maintain strong market knowledge of local competitors and Sparrow's unique value proposition.
  • Ensure the community meets company standards for show quality by inspecting models, amenities, and common areas.
  • Assist with executing sales and lifestyle events, from setup to engagement and follow-through.
  • Build relationships with community members, soliciting feedback and fostering a sense of belonging.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of sales leadership experience, preferably in multifamily housing, active adult, senior housing or hospitality.
  • Regional sales or multi-site support experience, preferred.
  • Proven ability to drive sales performance and meet occupancy goals.
  • Self-starter mentality with a proactive and solutions-focused approach to challenges.
  • Quick-thinking problem solver who thrives in fast-paced, ever-changing environments.
  • Exceptional relationship-building skills—able to work well with a variety of personalities and adapt to different community cultures.
  • Strong organizational skills to prepare and optimize sales offices for smooth transitions.
  • Experience with onboarding and training new team members in a sales setting.
  • Comfortable navigating CRM systems (Yardi, Welcome Home, or similar).
  • Ability to work independently while maintaining collaboration with regional leadership.
  • Commitment to servant leadership—a team player who genuinely cares about supporting others.
  • Must have reliable transportation; flexibility to work a regular Tues-Sat schedule.
  • Must be able to physically access all exterior and interior parts of the property and amenities; must be able to push, pull, lift, carry, or maneuver weights of up to twenty (20) pounds independently and fifty (50) pounds with assistance.
