About the role
As a Leasing Consultant, you will manage your success by attaining leasing goals such as occupancy and rent growth, while building rapport with prospects and residents. You will play a key role in the onsite management team, delivering unmatched service to exceed resident expectations and maintain retention.
Responsibilities
- Generate interest in the community by touring the property with prospects and answering questions about amenities, local community, and apartment features.
- Drive sales by highlighting the quality of the community and the lifestyle of apartment living.
- Assist prospects in qualifying for an apartment home by collecting information and initiating background checks.
- Ensure apartments are prepared for move-in.
- Deliver exceptional customer service to residents to exceed expectations and maintain retention.
- Perform office activities and coordinate paperwork related to apartment home rentals using attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Assist the leasing staff with leasing activities.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures while maintaining professionalism and teamwork.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High School Diploma, GED, or Trade/Technical/Vocational school education.
- 1+ years of related experience.
- Effective communication and customer service skills.
- Basic computer skills in a Windows environment.
- Ability to be courteous, professional, well-organized, and meet deadlines.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, ascend/descend staircases, and work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Must be able to remain stationary (sit or stand) for 85% of the time and operate office machinery.
- Travel up to 5% of the time may be required.
Work Environment
This role operates in a professional office environment and routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines. Regular travel between properties in varying weather conditions is required.

Pay
The compensation for this position ranges from $17.00 to $20.00 per hour, depending on factors such as geographic location, experience, qualifications, and applicability of collective bargaining agreements. The company will not pay less than minimum wage for this role.
