Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and customer-focused Leasing Consultant to join our team in Chicago, IL. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting prospective residents through the leasing process, providing exceptional customer service, and maintaining strong relationships with current residents. This role requires excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and a passion for helping people find their perfect home. The pay range for this position is $21 to $23/hr., based on experience, plus quarterly bonus potential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Greet and assist prospective residents, providing tours of available units and community amenities.
  • Explain leasing terms, policies, and procedures clearly and accurately.
  • Process rental applications, conduct background and credit checks, and prepare lease agreements.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of community availability, pricing, and promotions.
  • Respond promptly to resident inquiries and resolve any leasing-related issues.
  • Collaborate with the property management team to ensure smooth move-ins and move-outs.
  • Maintain accurate records of leasing activity and resident information.
  • Apart from leasing, participate in marketing and outreach efforts to attract new residents.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Must be available to work Saturdays.
  • Previous experience in leasing, sales, or customer service is a plus.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and property management software.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
  • Knowledge of Fair Housing laws and leasing regulations is preferred.
