Leasing Consultant – The Union Flats in Fishers, Indiana The Leasing Consultant serves as a key driver of occupancy and revenue growth, delivering an exceptional prospect and resident experience within a Class A multifamily community. This role acts as a brand ambassador for the community, supporting leasing performance, marketing efforts, and resident engagement in alignment with Thompson Thrift’s standards. Your Role as a Leasing Consultant As a Leasing Consultant, you will play a critical role in converting prospective residents into satisfied community members. This role focuses on executing leasing strategies, delivering an engaging customer experience, and contributing to occupancy and revenue goals. You will represent the community with professionalism and enthusiasm, creating a positive first impression while guiding prospects through the leasing journey and supporting ongoing resident relationships. Key Responsibilities Greet and engage prospective residents, providing personalized tours that highlight the value and features of the communityGuide prospects through the application and leasing process, effectively addressing questions and overcoming objectionsSupport leasing performance by contributing to occupancy goals, conversion efforts, and overall community successRespond to prospect inquiries across multiple channels, including phone, email, and digital platforms, in a timely and professional mannerDeliver a high level of customer service to both prospective and current residents, supporting satisfaction and retentionSupport marketing and outreach efforts, including online presence, reputation management, and community eventsMaintain detailed knowledge of the community, amenities, and surrounding market to effectively position the propertyPrepare lease documentation, process applications, and maintain accurate and complete recordsAssist with resident move-ins, onboarding, and communication to ensure a seamless experienceCollaborate with on-site management and team members to support a high-performing leasing environment Our Ideal Candidate for this Role Education High school diploma or GED required; equivalent experience may be considered Experience & Requirements Minimum of 1 year of experience in leasing, sales, customer service, or a professional office environmentExperience in multifamily leasing, sales, or hospitality preferredClass A or luxury multifamily experience a plusFlexibility to work some evenings; must be able to work weekendsA valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle is required for this role for purpose of routine outreach marketing and shopping comps; mileage reimbursement will be provided at IRS current rateMust be able to meet the physical requirements of the role, including frequent lifting of 10 to 25 pounds and occasional lifting up to 40 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation Skills & Attributes Strong sales aptitude with the ability to influence decisions and achieve performance goalsExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsCustomer-focused mindset with a strong service orientationAbility to multitask and perform in a fast-paced, goal-oriented environmentStrong organizational and time management skillsProficiency with Microsoft Office; experience with Yardi property management software preferredPositive attitude with a passion for helping people find their next home Preferred Certifications CALP designation preferred Why This Role Matters The Leasing Consultant plays a critical role in driving community success.
