Leasing Consultant

About the Role

Leasing consultants serve as the first point of contact for prospective residents, shaping their initial impression of a property. In a competitive market like Los Angeles County, the quality of this interaction directly impacts occupancy rates. This is an in-office, on-site position at a Carson property, requiring one weekend day per week to accommodate peak traffic.

Responsibilities

• Conduct property tours for prospective residents.
• Guide prospects through the rental application and lease signing process.
• Actively promote vacancies through online platforms and social media to generate leads.
• Follow up promptly with prospects to answer questions and move applications forward efficiently.

Requirements

• Strong verbal and written communication skills, particularly for engaging prospects who are still deciding.
• Hands-on experience with rental applications and lease execution.
• Comfort using Microsoft Office and property management software; experience with Yardi Voyager and Rent Cafe is a plus.
• Demonstrated ability to use social media and online platforms for marketing vacancies.
• A personable demeanor suited for in-person interactions, especially during significant life decisions.

Pay

Compensation ranges from $19.50 to $23.00 per hour for a 40-hour workweek, with additional leasing bonuses:

• $100 per new lease signed.
• $50 per lease renewal.
