Leasing Consultant

About the role

This is a part-time position with a 3-day schedule of 9:30 to 6:30 on Thursday and 8:30 to 5:30 Friday and Saturday. As a Leasing Consultant you will be the driving force in helping residents find the best place to call home. Your creative and thoughtful tours will be customized to individual tastes, from recommending the perfect floorplan to outlining the best new neighborhood restaurants. You know what makes people tick, and follow through on every lead to ensure that our prospective residents know you care. With weekends being the most high-traffic time for future residents to explore their home options, Saturday availability is required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver incredible customer service by creating a sense of community and going the extra mile to create a spectacular experience for new residents.
• Drive leasing performance through personalized connections, recommendations, and creative marketing campaigns.
• Fuel community enthusiasm via continuous outreach and social media engagement.
• Follow through with tailored updates to prospective residents, such as ideal floorplans, new local hot-spots, and neighborhood highlights.
• Build relationships with residents and colleagues to support AvalonBay’s mission of Creating a Better Way to Live.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
• 1-2 years of experience in a leasing or customer service role, preferably in the real estate or property management industry.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Proficiency in using property management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Knowledge of fair housing laws and regulations.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.

Pay

Total base pay range: $42,500.00 - $60,000.00.

Schedule

• Part-time, 24 hours per week.
• Thursday: 9:30 AM – 6:30 PM.
• Friday: 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM.
• Saturday: 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM.
