Leasing and Placements Assistant

About the Role

The Leasing and Placements Assistant shows and leases apartments to prospective tenants and completes move-in and move-out processes with residents.

Responsibilities

• Discuss size and layout of rooms, available facilities (e.g., swimming pool and saunas), services, and terms of lease with prospective tenants.
• Complete lease forms or agreements and collect rental deposits.
• Compile listings of available rental apartments.
• Comply with approved referral and placement protocols.
• Assist with continuity of communications between HHR and Na MAC.
• Drive for the Company using either a Company vehicle or a personal/rental vehicle to conduct business more than 50% of the time.

Requirements

• High school diploma or technical school required; one year of related experience and/or training preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to read and interpret general business policies, manuals, safety procedures, and governmental regulations.
• Ability to write reports and general business correspondence.
• Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from residents, prospective tenants, and the general public.
• Proficiency in basic arithmetic: addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division in all units of measure, including whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
• Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
• Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
• Knowledge of email, internet/intranet, word processing software, spreadsheet software, and database software.
• Valid and in-state driver’s license required.

Pay

The hiring rate for this position is $18.08 per hour, exclusive of fringe benefits or potential bonuses. This position is eligible for a performance bonus. Final salaries may vary based on geographic location, skills, education, licenses, certifications, and experience. Hiring at the top of the range is reserved for exceptionally qualified candidates.
