About the role

This position is for a full-time Leasing Agent I/COS at Summer Park, a 248-unit affordable family housing community in Fresno, CA. This is a Section 8 and Tax Credit property. Qualified candidates will have 1+ year of related apartment leasing experience and knowledge of affordable housing. Tax credit and/or project-based Section 8 experience preferred. COS certification preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assists in developing and implementing marketing plan and creation of advertisements
  • Provides property tours and shows model unit
  • Logs all traffic, completes follow-up, processes rental application, and prepares lease
  • Collects deposit and conducts unit inspection
  • Conducts market survey of competition
  • Participates in property inspections, move-in/move-out, and aids residents with move-out process
  • Participates in re-certification process

Requirements

  • 1+ year of related apartment leasing experience
  • COS experience preferred
  • Knowledge of affordable housing (Tax Credit and/or project-based Section 8 preferred)
  • MS Office knowledge and intermediate skills
  • Must pass criminal background check, education verification, and employment history verification
  • Drug testing required (does not test for marijuana/cannabis)
  • Certain roles may require fingerprinting due to legal requirements
  • If onsite housing is required, household members over 18 must also undergo criminal background check and tenant screening

Pay

Salary range: $17.85 to $27.20 per hour; hiring range for new employees is generally $17.85 to $22.53 per hour, depending on experience.
