About the role
The Leasing Agent plays a crucial role in Yugo USA's apartment communities, supporting the General Manager in achieving leasing goals and resident satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Greet prospective residents, conduct tours, and communicate property features.
- Respond to phone calls, emails, and in-person inquiries professionally and promptly.
- Process rental applications, secure deposits, and prepare lease agreements.
- Coordinate move-in and move-out processes, ensuring apartments are ready and residents have a positive experience.
- Maintain accurate leasing records, guest cards, reports, lease files, and commission tracking documentation.
- Support lease renewal efforts by distributing notices and following up with residents.
- Aid in marketing and outreach initiatives, including community events and advertising.
- Monitor local market conditions, competitor pricing, and industry trends.
- Participate in weekly leasing meetings and provide updates on leasing activity and market insights.
- Coordinate resident service requests and follow up to ensure resident satisfaction.
- Ensure the cleanliness, curb appeal, and overall presentation of the leasing office, model units, and community spaces.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with residents and resolve concerns or inquiries professionally.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, Fair Housing standards, and all applicable regulations.
Requirements
- High school diploma, GED or equivalent, or relevant experience in residential properties, rental operations, or related fields.
- Relevant experience working at a property, especially at a university/college.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to build and maintain quality relationships.
- Strong customer service skills, able to manage difficult or emotional situations and respond promptly to customer needs.
- Carbon Literacy Certification or willingness to undertake training.
Qualifications
- Preferred: GED or equivalent degree.
- Experience with property management software such as RealPage, Entrata, or similar systems.
- Willingness to comply with all applicable federal, state, and local regulations.
