Join our team and build a rewarding career improving lives through real estate. Reporting directly to the Western New York (WNY) Regional Manager, you will serve as the primary point of contact for prospective residents searching for their next home.
About the Role
We manage a portfolio of vintage, market-rate properties ranging from 12 to 191 units. We are hiring one leasing agent for approximately 700 units across Lockport, North Tonawanda, Hamburg, and Buffalo. The highest concentration of these properties is located in Lockport and North Tonawanda, each featuring a dedicated local leasing office (Maplewood East Apartments and Roosevelt on Main Apartments).
Core Responsibilities
- Provide excellent customer service to prospective residents
- Lease market-rate apartments according to Fair Housing standards
- Respond promptly to all new inquiries, converting leads to applicants
- Manage calendar, schedule tours, and conduct showings
- Process rental applications quickly and accurately
- Establish rapport with tenants and provide personalized service during the move-in process
- Verify all move-ins are fully completed, inspected, and documented
- Collaborate with property management and maintenance to maintain high occupancy
- Monitor listing postings and advertisements
- Aid property manager with tenant care and retention
- Other projects as assigned to help Birgo improve lives through real estate
Compensation
On-target earnings of $46,000–$71,000 annually, combining an hourly base with meaningful performance-driven commissions

Successful Candidate Profile
- 1+ year of leasing experience preferred; relevant sales, customer service, or hospitality experience will also be considered
- General knowledge of multifamily leasing principles, including Fair Housing (preferred)
- Experience with property management and leasing software (preferred)
- High school diploma

Requirements
- Availability to work consistent weekly schedules including select evenings and weekends (Saturdays preferred)
- Travel within WNY; occasional travel to Pittsburgh
- Insured vehicle and valid driver's license
- Able to use a computer for a full workday
- Able to work on-site with limited remote work flexibility
