Leasing Agent

Key Responsibilities

• Proactively engage prospects, schedule showings, and conduct unit tours with enthusiasm and professionalism.
• Show available units and effectively highlight key selling points and amenities.
• Work CRM and leasing platform daily to manage, track, and follow up with leads.
• Review rent-ready pipeline to prelease upcoming units and maximize occupancy.
• Submit applications, verify information, and ensure all leasing documentation is complete and accurate.
• Coincide with tenants to gather required documents for approval and move-in.
• Communicate market feedback and unitspecific observations to the leasing and property management team.
• Attend HUD VASH occasions in person (mandatory) to support affordable housing initiatives and maintain relationships with partners.
• Aid with lease renewals, rent collection, and general resident communication as needed.
• Report maintenance issues and collaborate with operations to ensure timely resolution.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of leasing, sales, or customer service experience (real estate or property management preferred).
• Familiarity with HUD, CHA, or VASH programs is a strong plus.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a customer-first mindset.
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail and ability to multitask.
• Nice to have: Proficiency with leasing software and CRM tools (e.g., AppFolio, Yardi, or similar), reliable transportation and willingness to travel locally between properties, and knowledge of Southside Chicago neighborhoods and rental market.

Pay & Benefits

Annual performance bonus $40,000 starting salary + Uncapped Commission
