About the role
As the primary sales representative for prospective residents, the Leasing Agent drives occupancy through consultative selling, relationship building, and lease conversion. You will serve as the face of AMH, simplifying the leasing experience for residents by offering professional management and maintenance support.
Responsibilities
- Drive leasing performance by responding to and following up on inquiries from prospective residents.
- Engage with potential tenants, offering compelling insights into housing options to encourage applications.
- Skillfully negotiate lease terms and provide thorough explanations of leases and related documents to new tenants.
- Perform leasing activities in accordance with applicable laws to maximize housing occupancy.
- Collaborate with underwriting and leasing teams to navigate applicants through the leasing journey.
- Stay informed about company policies and procedures to ensure compliance and up-to-date practices.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Minimum three (3) years of related sales or customer-facing sales experience required.
- Leasing, real estate, or property management experience preferred.
- Valid State Real Estate License is required.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook) is required.
- Outstanding communication abilities and analytical skills to solve problems effectively.
- Ability to build relationships, organize tasks, and deliver top-notch customer service.
- Flexibility to work weekends is required.
Pay
The anticipated pay range for this position is $21.09 to $25.30 hourly. Actual starting base pay within this range will depend on factors including geographic location, education, training, skills, and relevant experience.
