About the role
The Lease-Up Property Manager oversees all property operations, ensuring efficient day-to-day management, resident satisfaction, and financial performance. Responsibilities include lease administration, rent collection, maintenance oversight, vendor contract management, and monthly reporting. This role fosters a positive experience for residents, associates, and clients while meeting strategic marketing and operational goals.
Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day property operations, including resident satisfaction, retention, lease administration, rent collection, delinquency management, and property P&L.
- Execute property marketing strategies to attract and retain residents in alignment with company standards.
- Meet client expectations by delivering excellent customer service.
- Recruit, interview, hire, and provide corrective feedback and development for associates.
- Lead and communicate a shared vision to inspire associate performance and create a positive work environment.
- Understand and adhere to operations guidelines outlined in the property management agreement.
- Address resident complaints, enforce landlord rules, and serve as a liaison between residents and the corporate office for common area maintenance.
- Maintain professional and technical knowledge through workshops, publications, and networking.
- Organize and implement site natural disaster and emergency evacuation plans.
- Manage property and associate safety records, loss claims, and risk management initiatives.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High school diploma required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Two to three years of property management experience required.
- One to two years of direct management experience required.
- Knowledge of resident rental lifecycle activities required.
- Real estate license preferred or may be required in some locations.
- Knowledge of Salesforce.com preferred.
- Prior experience with Yardi Voyager or equivalent property management system preferred.
Skills
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills for effective communication with all levels of management.
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
- Sensitivity to confidential matters.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong sense of urgency and ability to relay technical concerns accurately.
- Fluency in English (reading, writing, comprehension, and conversation).
- Proficiency with general office equipment (telephone, fax, printer, copier, key track system).
- Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills with the ability to relate to diverse individuals.
- Ability to de-escalate situations involving angry or difficult people.
- Valid driver’s license, clean driving record, and current auto insurance required.

Pay
$90,000 to $100,000 per year.
